This British military cemetery is the final resting place of my grandfather Walter Townsley. The first photographs we took here were on 35mm film and limited in number. The site deserved a return visit with better coverage this time using a digital camera. Luckily the weather was also better for the second visit. Even so this was not an attempt to document the whole cemetery.
However lots of others with cameras have been taking advantage of the digital age to share their photographs online; WW1Cemeteries is just one example ...
It is also hoped that the medals and death plaque for Walter Townsley can be traced, photographed and included here to mark the 100 years since the end of the Great War. Update: the memorial plaque has been traced and a photo kindly sent for use here.
